HELLO WORLD... or somethin'..

I'm new here at Deviant Art but I think it's a great community.
I'm a "cartoonist" (it is not really my job) from Berlin, Germany and I draw cartoons since I got a pen in my hand. A little while ago I bought me a digital pad for drawing and now I'm testing it intensively. First it was odd but after a while it felt like sketching with a real pen, it's quite fun. I've loaded up my first works and now I'm working on a whole story about my band "Beauty is the End" to present it here in a while just as some lyrics.

I'm very interested in feedback, so if you like or dislike my works write me a comment. Thank you.

I'm a '87 born hobby-cartoonist from the capital of Germany. My civil name is Daniel Stähr-Mannkopff, but it seems that there are to many "Daniels" around here, so I got my nickname "KoH", which is my "alias", too. Long story how I got that name, but whatever.. I'm sketchin' since I can hold a pen and specialized me in drawing cartoons. I also like the realistic stuff, even very much, but I'm not very good at it. My influences are coming from the good old three-to-four-picture-cartoons like "Garfield" and especially from a german series called "Werner".
I'm writing lyrics, as well, 'cause I'm singing in a metal/chaos band named "Beauty Is The End" (www.myspace.com/beautyistheendcore). My friends and musicians inspired me alot so I began to draw some stories about us and will present them here, too. The rest of my works are most inspired by life and society.

Some people ask me "Why 'KoH Kain', like the drug Cocaine?". It has not really something to do with the drug. I never did cocain or a drug like this and I never will! Hard drugs like Cocaine are really bad and can cause terrible damages to the central nervous system. Cocain stimulates the CNS during the trip and you'll become very euphoric and happy - just like watching (hopefully my ;P) cartoons, without the braindamages in this case. That's the short version of the idea behind "KoH Kain". Why "KoH"? Well.. that's another Story ^.^

Wow, klingt ja krass interessant^^.. kann man dich nur beneiden für. Ich glaub sowas wär nen Traumjob für jeden, der gerne kreativ ist^-^

Jaaa mitte April sind die ganzen Prüfungen.. aber im grunde hats ja schon längst angefangen mit dem ganzen lernen und so.. jetzt ist endspurt^^

No, I usually use my mouse, and sometimes trace drawings done on paper (coz the scanner's gone coocoo).
I suck at tablets. And I don't have one either. (will get one next or next next month)

that is amazing.. I never could do such sketches with my mouse!!

first it was odd to draw with a tablet, but after a while it is like drawing with a real pen! ^.^
do you have MSN? I have some paintings sketched with my mouse and would like to send you some XD they look...... awesome XD

ich arbeite in einem theaterverlag. kümmer mich um afführungsrechte und lizenzen und so'n kram und mache nebenher noch n bisschen design. macht krass spaß^^

na lang ists ja nich mehr mit'm abi oder? ^^ geht ja jetzt alles los wenn ich mich nich irre.
